What are you doing Microsoft!?

Some of you may of heard that the Windows 8 Consumer preview was released to trial this week. At first things were looking promising for Windows, finally getting everything operating with everything else, one account, spread across all of Windows' products.

While Windows 8 looks really nice and is running smoothly at the moment, everyone including me was extremely frustrated when they found Windows 8 has 8 different versions to buy! Come on Windows! no one wants 8 different versions of Windows 8! heres your options

- Windows 8 Enterprise Edition
- Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation Edition
- Windows 8 Home Basic Edition
- Windows 8 Home Premium Edition
- Windows 8 ARM Edition
- Windows 8 Professional Edition
- Windows 8 Professional Plus Edition
- Windows 8 Smarter Edition
- Windows 8 Ultimate Edition

REALLY!? that many editions is just taking it overboard. Sure you can overachieve but not with the amount of editions that are released.  No one wants an extra edition to for evaluation, or a professional plus edition. I think if Microsoft and Windows just combined all of the additional extras that they want everyone to pay extra for, and just make one or two super editions, they could get away with bumping the price up a lot more and they would remove SO much confusion. Maybe one day they can take some advice from Apple and learn that less is more. Less is so so much more. Maybe one day Microsoft will be Fortune Magazines Most desired company like Apple, who have topped the list for over three years now. So thats my rant over. What do you think? What would be the best names for Windows 8's revised editions?
