Playstation Network Accounts No More?!

After receiving an email from Sony I was informed that starting February 8 with a new system update, there will be no more PlayStation Network Accounts. Sony has decided to rename their network and accounts so "Sony Entertainment Network" or "SEN" This update will occur across all of the PlayStation devices. I'm interested to see where Sony goes with this because they obviously have some sort of plan to make some new changes to what we have known the be the PSN for some time now. In more Sony news for us Australian folk there has been a new little icon in the video section of our dashboard that is titled, "Quickflix". Quickflix, if you know know is a movie rental site that mails out discs for a monthly fee. Quickflix looks like it is trying to get into the online streaming business, making it similar to the widely popular Netflix. After browsing through the Quickflix app I realised that there movie selection is far short of amazing. There are no new releases and there most popular movies are semi classics that no one really wants to see more then once. I can see a lot of potential with Quickflix, especially as a Netflix alternative for the Australian people. As soon as they get licensing with a few other big production companies I can see it really taking off.
